Top 5 Time Killers

Killing time is something we all have to do at some time or another.  The question is, how are we going to do so, and what degree of satisfaction, or utility, is the time killed going to bring to us?
As I've contemplated the techniques I've used in the past on killing time, I came up with the following list of my personal top five time killers:

1. Get a subscription to Netflix - Netflix has a number of tv episodes and movies, and is available on your smartphone to watch anytime, anywhere!

2. Read a book - I've always found that if I keep a good book nearby I can kill time with ease.

3.  Get online - There are thousands and thousands of websites available to us at our fingertips! This means thousands of great potential time killers.  I can always kill a good amount of time by reading the news, checking social networks, or looking through emails.  The possibilities are endless online!

4.  Take a nap - This is a great time killer, although it does have it's associated risks. If you're on a tight schedule you may want to set an alarm of some sort so you don't sleep through your next appointment.

5.  Play a game - Again, a smartphone can come in handy if you are looking for a specific game to play.  There are a number of other options including playing cards, paper-rock-scissors, or crossword puzzles.

What time killers work the best for you?

DYI Furniture

Since you have so much time to kill, why not do something creative? I recently saw great ideas about how you can use wooden pallets to create furniture. If you have a saw, hammer, some nails or screws, sand paper, and imagination, you can create cool pieces of furniture. You can pretty much find wooden pallets anywhere, and if you have to buy them, they run at about $2 a piece. The possibilities are endless and wouldn't you like to brag to your friends about you making that cool new sofa yourself?

Office Pranks

Stuck in the office and bored? Procrastinating on that assignment thats due tonight? Well, use that spare time to play a prank to your cubicle neighbor (if you have one...) or on an innocent by stander. (by an innocent bystander I mean a person who your joke is not intended to but they just walk into it...)

Ok, here are a few ideas.
1. Do you have clear nail polish? Well if you do, find your victim's pencils and pens and color over them with clear nail polish. They wont be able to write anything!

2. Have some saran wrap? GREAT! Use it to cover a toilet seat, people will get really mad at splashing pee all over them.. (yeah I know its gross, but their reaction is pretty funny)

3. Is there a person who just always has to have a specific chair, a specific heigh, their arm rests have to be a certain size or also a certain height? Yeah, I know how annoying those people are. As a prank, keep their chair there, but mess with the height, the arm rests, and just make it so that the person thinks it is not their chair!

Well I hope these ideas killed a few minutes of your day!

Remote Control Awesomeness

About 2 years ago my friend and i stumbled across Remote Control Cars/Airplanes.

I am not talking about your little electric buzzers that we got when we were 4 years old at christmas. I am talking about gas powered monsters that have a top speed of between 50-70 mph.

My first was this i got it over a summer and we beat the crap out of it. There are some decent videos out there of people driving them around.

Here is a good one.
Now the Revo is a pretty expensive car, but you can get a really decent car for around $200 depending on what you want to do.
